When reporting a bug, it helps enormously if you include your device model, iOS version, and what you were doing when it happened. If it relates to a specific session, the circuit and approximate time are useful too.

Which devices are supported?

PinIt Cam requires an iPhone capable of simultaneous dual-camera capture. Recording the track and the driver at the same time is a hardware capability, not a software one, so older devices cannot support it.

Why aren't my corners named?

Corner and section names appear on supported circuits only. Where a circuit is supported, PinIt Cam matches your GPS trace to the track layout and names each detected highlight after the section you were on. On unsupported circuits, highlights are still detected and still work — they simply aren't named.

The list of supported circuits is in the app under Settings, and new tracks are added with each update. If your regular circuit is missing, email us and we'll look at adding it.

Does PinIt Cam need a signal?

No. Recording, highlight detection, telemetry, and export all work entirely offline. Paddock Mode shares sessions device-to-device using a direct peer-to-peer connection, so it works in a paddock with no bars at all.

In fact, we recommend putting your phone in airplane mode while recording. An active cellular modem generates heat, and heat is the main cause of long sessions cutting short.

My phone got hot and recording stopped

Long sessions in a hot car push any phone hard. To get the most from a session: use airplane mode, keep the phone out of direct sunlight where possible, and avoid charging while recording. PinIt Cam will reduce frame rate before it stops entirely, and will tell you when it does.

What do I get with PinIt Cam Pro?

PinIt Cam is free to download and free to record with. Pro is a single, one-time purchase — not a subscription. Once bought, it is permanently unlocked on your Apple ID and can be restored on any of your devices.

Founder pricing is an introductory price and will increase. Anyone who buys at the founder price keeps Pro permanently at no further cost.

I bought Pro but it isn't unlocked

Open Settings inside the app and tap Restore Purchases. This re-checks your Apple ID and restores Pro. If it still doesn't unlock, make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID you purchased with, then email us.

How do I redeem a code?

Open Settings inside the app and tap Redeem a Code, then enter the code you were given. You can also redeem through the App Store directly. Redeemed codes unlock exactly the same permanent Pro purchase.

Where is my footage stored?

On your device, and nowhere else. PinIt Cam has no account, no cloud, and no server. Nobody — including us — can see your footage unless you choose to share it. If you delete the app, your sessions go with it, so export anything you want to keep first.
