iPhone track day app
Your iPhone Is Already a Track Day Camera
It has two cameras, GPS and motion sensors — everything a track day recorder needs. PinIt Cam puts them to work at once: it films the circuit and you, times your laps, records speed and G-force, and builds the highlight reel when you get home. No action camera, no data logger, no beacon.
The lap is only half the story.
A lap timer measures the lap. PinIt Cam records the day.
Most lap timer apps are about the number: how fast, which sector, how much quicker than last time. That matters, and PinIt Cam times your laps too. But the number is only half of what happened. The other half is the view through the windscreen as you turn in, and your face when the rear steps out.
PinIt Cam records both halves together — the circuit and the driver, with the telemetry on top — so what you bring home is something you’ll actually want to watch, and share.
What PinIt Cam does at a track day
- Dual-camera recording. The rear camera films the circuit, the front camera films you — one synced recording. How dual-camera recording works.
- Recognises the circuit. At each of the 107 supported circuits in 22 countries, PinIt Cam knows where you are from GPS. Nothing to pick from a list.
- Automatic lap timing. Laps are timed from each circuit’s own timing line — or Bridge-to-Gantry on the Nürburgring Nordschleife. No transponder, nothing to place.
- GPS speed and G-force. Speed, G-force, distance, session time and a live track map, burned into your footage like a broadcast overlay.
- Named corners. On 74 circuits your clips are labelled by corner — Druids Bend, Karussell, Eau Rouge — instead of a timestamp.
- Automatic highlights. Nine detectors read the GPS, motion and audio data to find committed corners, hard braking, late brakes, big saves and more.
- Exports ready to post. Split screen, picture-in-picture, track only or driver only, in 9:16 vertical or 16:9 widescreen.
- Paddock Mode. Share sessions phone-to-phone at the circuit and PinIt Cam builds one reel from the whole group, overtakes included.
Built for the paddock, not the cloud
No signal needed. GPS comes from satellites, so recording, lap timing, highlights and export all work with no mobile data. Paddock Mode sharing runs over local Wi-Fi and Bluetooth, phone to phone.
No account, no cloud, no analytics. Your footage and telemetry are created on your iPhone and stay there unless you choose to share them. We can’t see your recordings because we didn’t build the ability to. Read the privacy policy.
Built for long sessions. The capture settings were chosen by testing in a hot car, and the preview blanks while you record so the phone isn’t working to draw a screen nobody’s watching.
Not at a supported circuit?
PinIt Cam still records anywhere you drive: both cameras, GPS speed, G-force and automatic highlights. The track map, corner names and lap timing are what a supported circuit adds — and new circuits arrive in free app updates. See every supported circuit or ask for yours.
